Family-Friendly Reading Sessions Encourage Literacy and Learning in Easton
The Old Colony History Museum (OCHM) on Church Green in Taunton offers sensory-friendly storytime sessions for families with young ones learning to read in Easton. These storytelling shows occur in the museum and will also be broadcast live on the OCHM’s Facebook page.
- The books used during storytime sessions are aimed at mid-elementary level reading, but families with children of all ages are welcome to participate
- Reading in a historic yet sensory-friendly space keeps children engaged and fosters a love of history
- The storytime program is part of the OCHM’s “M is for Museum” early reading and literacy initiative
Storytime sessions are free and happen on the first week of each month through June 2021, with February’s taking place on the 2nd from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Eastern Standard Time.
